These river-going sailboats were common in Egypt in the days of the monarchy (1920s-40s) when aristocrats and sophisticated travelers loved to cruise the Nile in style. Reviving those elegant days with modern comforts and conveniences.

Dahabiyas allow you to experience the Nile's romance in an intimate, privileged setting on board of deluxe cabins ranging between 5 to 10 cabins in each dahabeya. Relying on the soft river currents, Dahabiyas takes you back in time to a gentler, more gracious era. Engines will only be used if wind is insufficient to sail, but generators are available to provide electricity. Propelled by the gentle Nile winds, you will discover the many archaeological treasures, historical sites, magnificent deserts and breathtaking vistas Egypt has to offer. In short, we promise our guests a unique, tranquil journey on sailboats fit for a king!
